About Chocolatier Isabelle

Chocolatier Isabelle opened in the Summer of 2005 with their first range of fabulous handmade Belgian chocolates. Since then their range has continued to grow with new chocolates arriving fresh from Belgium every couple of weeks.

Chocolatier Isabelle is a partership of Isabelle Van der Heyden (the shop's namesake) and Robert Hurd.

Isabelle worked for five years in a patisserie/chocolaterie in her native Belgium and during this time she met Robert before together moving to the UK in 2002.

Robert was a professional cyclist in Belgium for more than ten years, where the sport is a national favourite. After meeting Isabelle they decided to start their own Belgian chocolate shop back in the UK.

Robert has continued in his cycling career and Chocolatier Isabelle are now his number 1 sponsor for 2006, if you would like more details about Robert and his cycling career please email us.
